His name is Denny Crane, founding and Senior Partner of Crane, Poole & Schmidt. Denny considers himself a legend and loves to say his own name to “sign” his verbal utterances.  He explains that often people don’t believe they’re in the room with a legend, so he says his own name to let them know it’s true.

Perhaps UPH should hire him as council for all the lawsuits they are involved in as defendants. Too bad he only practices in Boston… Oh, and, the fact that he’s not real.

A quick search of the Medina County Clerk of Courts site reveals that UPH has had, since January of 2010, thirteen lawsuits filed against them – or, on average, one every other month.  Understandably, UPH being builders, opens them up for all sorts of frivolous suits, such as one where an employee of theirs was involved in a car accident (Burton vs. Somerick, et al.).  And to be fair, not all suits involving UPH have merit.

We’ll do our best to cover each one in detail in the next few weeks, but for now, here’s the link to the search so you can read them for yourselves.
